Winfried-Grundschule

As a primary school , the Winfried Primary School imparts knowledge, skills and abilities as a general basis for further education. The teachers teach - just like all other primary schools in North Rhine-Westphalia - according to the guidelines and curricula of the state. As a Catholic elementary school , it also offers the following main areas of religious education: Education with Christian responsibility and in the sense of the Catholic creed Continuation of the educational work of the Catholic kindergartens Daily school prayer Care of religious songs Orientation towards the church year when organizing school life, e.g. Martinsfeier and "Celebration in Advent" Participation in parish events weekly school church services for the 3rd and 4th school years, co-organized by the children, in the Bonifatiuskirche Participation in the monthly Sunday family church services of the parish of St. Bonifatius The Winfried elementary school has increased since the 2010/2011 school year international projects integrated into school life and carried out, offered the English lessons more intensively. Since the 2012/2013 school year, some of the subjects in grades 1-3 have also been taught in English.
