Hauptschule Scharnhorst

The secondary school is located in the Dortmund district of Scharnhorst. There are numerous working groups and groups: school garden, school newspaper, riding and horse care, table tennis, football, moped courses and professional preparation. The Internet driver's license and website support are new. Language support lessons are given in grades 5 and 6, there are two preparatory classes for migrants, language support for lateral beginners in regular classes and homework support for all classes. A school library is available, recently in its own room. A school partnership with a school in Mozambique is being planned. Parents can get advice as part of school social work. When choosing a career, the school relies on the student internship, trial internships, competence checks and application training. Extracurricular learning locations are visited and there is an aptitude test working group. Advice is provided by the employment agency and teachers. The school sets accents as an extended all-day school through language support in the 5th and 6th grades, preparation for career choices and the use of new media. Social learning is promoted through the training room concept and dispute settlement. We are proud of the EQUA project in cooperation with the Werkhof, where the 9th grade students Classes get professional and environmental orientation, also proud of supplementary funding offers with digital media for grades 5 and 6 as well as the title World Cup School 2006. Various street soccer tournaments are organized under the motto 'Fair play for fair life'. The secondary school can be reached by bus and subway (U42).
