Joy of Dance

Joy of Dance classes are developed with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, and creative needs of each age group. Classes integrate aspects of several early childhood educational methods such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, RIE, and what Founder/Director Joy Voelker refers to as “The Mr. Rogers Approach.” The movement material in class draw inspiration from creative movement, ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, tap, music, improvisation, and composition using all genres of music. This is what we at Joy of Dance call Dance Exploration.
