Our skills include traditional craftsmanship as well as the use of the most modern manufacturing processes , each time carefully weighing up which approach ultimately leads to the best end product. Our offer ranges from prototype construction to planning, design and expansion of complete shop fittings . Custom-made products are just as important to us as major projects. Of course we are also your contact for smaller precision work and mechanical processes. Our craft shows that exclusivity and restrained simplicity do not have to contradict each other. In our continuous search for new ideas, we are both inspired by classics and at the same time are always interested in contemporary trends. Since then, our ambition has been to innovatively combine traditional craft techniques with ideas that are as new as they are unconventional. Born in Berlin-Kreuzberg in 1965 , Dirk Jaeger completed his training as a machine fitter at AEG / Telefunken in the early 1980s , but it was his subsequent work at the Freie Volksbühne (West) that would have a decisive impact on him. The theater reflected that creative energy that was to become so characteristic of West Berlin at that time and it was precisely this that laid the foundation for Dirk Jaeger's self-image as a metal designer: openness and creativity, combined with teamwork, accuracy and efficiency still set the standards today behind every work by STEELTOWN-METALLDESIGN®. After the closure of the West Volksbühne, Dirk Jaeger knew how to use his experience but also the optimism of the recently reunified city. This was followed by the completion of the master's school and the first steps towards professional independence, which ultimately manifested itself in STEELTOWN-METALLDESIGN® in 1993 . In the years that followed, the company was able to benefit from the rapid changes in the capital as well as help shape it. Be it through shop designs, trade fair structures, custom-made products, orders from museums and cultural projects or restoration work . STEELTOWN -METALLDESIGN® has been in a central location since 1993, in the north of Berlin-Tempelhof , near the districts of Schöneberg and Kreuzberg. In the past 25 years we have succeeded in getting STEELTOWN-METALLDESIGN® to retain its characteristic properties and at the same time to prove its innovative strength over and over again. And in the future, too, we will remain true to these principles and our self-image, so that we can continue to offer you the best possible ideas and results.
