Dogs have been with me all my life. You could say they are the central theme of my biography. I spent most of my childhood in the country, near Dresden. Almost all families in the village had dogs - including us. My enthusiasm for these animals went beyond the usual level. With the youth consecration money I bought my first German shepherd, “Gero” (photo above). At the age of 14 I became a dog athlete in the protection dog area under the guidance of Jürgen Schulze and passed the protection dog test 1, 2 and 3 as well as the tracking dog test and the police dog test 1. I didn't like the methods of the usual training at the time. I looked for other ways and was ridiculed. Today I know that it was right to see dogs as their own beings and not just as compliant tools. After training as a glass engraver in Meißen, she studied at the Potsdam-Babelsberg Film Academy. As a graduate actress, I stood on various stages and in front of film cameras, but after the fall of the Wall I was increasingly dissatisfied with this job and came back to the dog for the second time. It started off very small, more as a favor for friends than a job. But at some point dog care had taken on a dimension and personal meaning that I decided to turn this passion into a job and in 2008 founded my company "8hunde". That was many years ago and I don't regret a single day! The intensive experiences that I was able to make as a young person have been and are constantly being expanded and supplemented by seminars, exchanges of experience and above all by daily practical work with the dogs. They are my real teachers. I learn new things from them every day. They show me a range of skills and a sensitivity that always surprise me. I know through them what leadership and perception mean in a modern sense! I want to enable the dogs that come to me to live a life that meets their natural needs, that makes them balanced and resilient. With me you can BE DOG. I fulfill the Codex according to § 11 Paragraph 1 No. 8f Animal Welfare Act for dog trainers.
