Primo-Levi Gymnasium Haus-A

The Primo-Levi-Gymnasium in Weißensee with two attractive school buildings in Pistoriusstraße 133 and in Woelckpromenade 38 was created from the merging of the Bühring-Oberschule and the Wieland-Herzfelde-Oberschule and combines the advantages and possibilities of the two previous schools. The two buildings are only about 300 meters apart. One focus of our work is the promotion of students' skills (social, technical, methodological and personal skills), taking into account interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary aspects and the associated teaching development. Learning and teaching follow the approach of imparting a broad and convincing general and specialist education. The interaction between teachers and students is characterized by mutual respect, tolerance, independence and the joy of teaching and learning. The amalgamation of the two grammar schools has made it possible that in the new grammar school Weißensee the mathematical-scientific, linguistic, social-scientific, artistic-musical and sporting are equally pronounced and determine the educational offer. The Primo-Levi-Gymnasium has regular trains starting with grade 7 and, since the school year 2012/13, a bilingual train starting with the fifth grade. The model of “high-speed trains” as part of the “individualization of high school education” from grade 5, which leads to the Abitur in eleven school years, is being phased out.
