Description
Moment, moment.
Cut!
I'd rather start from the beginning: I'm Markus, or “Paapaaaaa!” As soon as I open the door at home and three children come in like a hurricane. I live near Graz in Styria with my wife, the superhero of my life and our three sidekicks. Yes, I love Marvel & DC Comics, you may have noticed that, but also loud rock music and good breakfasts.
My everyday life is of course not as exciting as that of a superhero, but no less exciting for me. There is so much to do: luring the children from ice cream parlor to ice cream parlor on vacation so that my wife and I have seen the whole city in the end, watching my son whiz down a ski slope all by himself for the first time or mine a lot Sorting too large a Hard Rock Café t-shirt collection - I never really get bored. Is that a superpower?
Or maybe I would be more of a hobbyist who builds the cool toys for the heroes, like Q in James Bond. Because I've always been a hobbyist: I like reading operating instructions, tinkering with electronics and even forged Thor's hammer for my youngest at Mardi Gras (but made of paper mache). My professional experience as a technician has definitely left its mark - and I also got into photography through my interest in technology.
Today, however, photography is much more to me than camera models, focal lengths and flash systems. I've been a full-time wedding photographer for several years now, and at some point you learn that this job is by no means about technology, but about having a good time with the people in front of the camera. And that's exactly what I look forward to before every photo assignment.
